    Customers like the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHSCH) embrace the Cool Carpet Option as an integral part of their design vision.

    UTHSCH uses Seven Guiding Principles of Sustainable Design which shape all aspects of design and construction on the campus. Design teams are required to integrate these principles. Principle Two strives for a climate neutral building. UTHSCH believes that "the health of human communities is predicated on the health of natural systems. Air pollution contributes to the degradation of the atmosphere, which contributes to global climate change. … Understanding [the] contributing factors, minimizing them, and then balancing the remainder of the negative impact with restorative acts are the process of creating a climate neutral building."
