Interface Environmental Foundation Awards Grants
On December 9, 2005, the Interface Environmental Foundation awarded grants
to 31 school projects focused on environmental awareness. Thanks to the efforts
of dedicated Interface employees and the teachers they sponsored, Interface was
able to reach over 4,800 children this year.
Applications were evaluated based on how well the proposed projects would
increase environmental awareness and responsibility, enrich curriculum, provide
meaningful and memorable learning experiences for many children, incorporate
nontraditional experiences and provide for the efficient use of funds. Now in
its 5th year, the Interface Environmental Education Grant program has awarded
$75,000 to teachers committed to teaching children about environmental
awareness and responsibility.
Listed below are the grant recipients for the 2005-06 school year.
